THE APPLICATIONS FOR GAU 6TH YOUNG PHOTOGRAPHERS CONTEST HAS BEGUN

Girne American University (GAU), which continues sharing its nearly 50 years of knowledge and experience in 2017-2018 academic year, is organizing the 6th traditional ‘Young Photographers’’ photography contest.

It has been announced that the reward for the winner of the contest, which young photographers between the ages of 14 to 25 who are interested in art of photography can attend, is  a chance to study at the English preparatory school at the GAU Moldova American University for 1year with full scholarship complemented with a financial support of 3000 TRY.

The statement that has been made by the GAU Public Relations and Event Department on the subject pointed out that the applications will be accepted until 4th of April 2018, Wednesday. The rewards of the GAU 6th Young Photographers Contest for the second place is to study at the English Preparatory school at the GAU Moldova American University for 1year with full scholarship as well as an award of 2000 TRY, the reward for the third place is  the chance to study at the English preparatory school at the GAU Moldova American University for 1year with full scholarship complemented with a financial support of 1000 TRY.

In the statement it has been pointed out that application forms along with  a photograph should be sent to http://yarismalar.gau.edu.tr address until 4th of April 2018, it is also stated that the works will be held to public voting on the website between 9th and 13th of April, the public voting will determine 30% of the points and the jury will determine 70% of the points.

Also, in the statement made by GAU, the purpose of the contest is explained as, while supporting the art of photography under the social responsibility project,  it also aims to guide the young generations who are stepping into the professional life, to help them with their education and by reaching masses of people, to raise awareness of the art of photography.
