American University of Moldova, one of the campuses of Girne American University (GAU) which has campuses over four continents, welcomed the Mayor of Lapta, Fuat Namsoy and the delegation accompanying him.

The Rectorship of The American University of Moldova welcomed the Mayor of Lapta, TRNC, Fuat Namsoy and the delegation accompanying him. American University of Moldova, which pronounced its name with its academic and social studies from the period it opened, provided detailed information about the university to the Mayor of Lapta, Fuat Namsoy, by showing around the campus and the classrooms. In the meeting held together with the American University of Moldova Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Victoria Gonza, where the visions and the goals of the university were discussed, a plaque of appreciation on behalf of their interest and sensitivity was presented to the Mayor.

The Mayor of Lapta, Fuat Namsoy, who expressed in the statement he made in his visit that with a great pride and appreciation, the people of TRNC are watching the initiatives and the campuses opened by Girne America University to the four corners of the world in the framework of international outreach program, stated that he was very surprised from the moment he first saw the American University of Moldova and that getting education in classrooms and campus environment that equipped with technological infrastructure systems is a great chance for the students. Expressing that he congratulates GAU Founding President and Chairman of the Board Serhat Akpinar and the academics and employees of GAU, Namsoy, stated that these investments are very important not only for GAU but also for TRNC. Namsey, who stressed that the promotional works made in abroad to support the promotion of the TRNC and the scientific studies made in order to announce our name, is very important, stating that they are very impressed with Moldova`s cultural richness, expressed that it is a great chance on behalf of the students and wished for every student in American University of Moldova, to move their target to higher levels in the point of knowledge and experience.

In addition, the delegation performed a visit to the Ambassador of Chisinau, Moldova, Mehmet Selim Kartal, within the scope of their visiting program.
