At the tennis tournament on 26-29th April 2012 which was organized by the TRNC Tennis Federation and sponsored by Nestle Pure Life and Niyazi Manyer Enterprise LTD, Gurinder Singh from the GAU Men’s Tennis Team became the champion.

Yiğit Tan, one of the trainers of the GAU Tennis Team, stating that throughout the tournament Singh had demonstrated outstanding performances and the GAU Men’s Tennis Team had achieved significant success in the championship in Turkey a well as the Tennis League, pointed out that their aim was to attain a position at the ITF FUTURE tournament to be held in Turkey and to represent the TRNC and GAU at national and international tournaments successfully.

The first three positions at the tournament organized by the TRNC Tennis Federation were won by thee following players:

1.Gurinder Singh – Girne American University (GAU)

2.Martin Rychtarik – East Mediterranean University (EMU)

3.Florin Sorodoc – Girne Municipality Tennis Club (GTC)
